Supporting Children to Thrive

I, Kelsey Snyder, am a School Psychologist with a Master’s degree in School Psychology and over 10 years of experience supporting children, families, teachers, and school professionals.

My background includes working as a school psychologist, PBIS coach, and school counselor, giving me a broad perspective on the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional challenges children may experience.

I am passionate about helping children build confidence, develop meaningful skills, and overcome challenges in ways that feel engaging and relevant to them. I use a collaborative, strengths-based, and often play-based approach, drawing from evidence-based strategies including CBT, solution-focused techniques, behavioral support, emotional coaching, and coping strategies.

I specialize in supporting children with executive functioning difficulties, test anxiety, social-pragmatic communication, emotional regulation, and behavioral challenges. I believe lasting progress happens when we work together with the important adults in a child’s life. By partnering with parents and caregivers and connecting skills across home and school, I aim to help children take what they learn in our sessions and use it confidently in their everyday lives.

At PEDALS we offer individual counseling services that build on our thorough diagnostics. For example, we teach strategies to improve executive function, challenge ineffective social-emotional strategies or improve scholastic skills. When applicable, we build bridges by working with the patient, their family and their school. Sometimes we work extensively with parents rather than children to parents with structural adaptions that may influence behavioral patterns to their child’s benefit and/or help absorb some of the stress that parents experience when a child is not thriving.
